French Marigolds April 28, 2013

SOOC, French Marigolds, Tagetes patula
I bought these as companion plants for my tomatoes.
They, supposedly, repel insect pests and attract butterflies.

Have a beautiful day!

  3. Wonderful colour. I am really starting to take a lot of these (sort of) abstract macros - it certainly makes you look closely at things.

  4. Lovely photo! I used to plant marigolds around my tomatoes. I'm not sure if it helped or not, but they do add some nice color!

  5. I've always wondered if marigolds (and I heard it has to be the French marigolds) really do repel pests, but it certainly doesn't hurt to try, and they are such a pretty color!

  8. Kove, love, love this color of marigolds. And your photo captured the richness of the color just perfectly. And if they don't repel insects, at least the tomato garden will be beautiful
