    1. We delay the mowing as long as possible. In fact, we don't mow these wildflowers until I get to thinking there might be snakes hiding in there!

      "African Violet" is a misnomer. They are not violets; however, they do come from Africa. African Violets are not related to the Violas (other than all plants are distantly related). Both beautiful plants, of course, each in its own way.

  7. I love the little violas, so pretty. I'm look forward to when the sweet violets appear in the spring in banking under the hedges, I especially like the blue ones.
