Fig Trees

Thankful Thursday and Little Things Thursday

Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, May 23, 2023
I am thankful to see a few green leaves on several of my fig trees! I lost three flowering shrubs to extremely cold weather last December, and I was afraid the fig trees were dead, too. It is late for them to be just now leafing out. We may not get figs this year, but at least some of my fig trees survived!

Have a blessed day!

  1. It has been an odd spring here with so many things late in coming up.

  2. That is a great sign! I have a few bushes and things that have been so incredibly slow to show any signs of life this spring. I was relieved to see that everything at least has a leaf or two today.

  4. Just read a book where a fig tree had a predominant role. The Island of Missing Trees. Never have had a fig tree.
