Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day, October 2022

The northeast corner of Mississippi, USA, zone 7b
September was hot and dry; October is cooler and was very dry until it rained on Wednesday.

My Asters ignored the dry conditions and have been (and still are) blooming profusely.

There are still a few blooms on the Turk's Cap that the butterflies are enjoying.

  1. The Gulf Fritillary is our most common butterfly but it is eye catching and beautiful. I keep taking photos of them no matter how many I see! Happy weekend!

  5. Gotta love those asters! Gulf Fritilaries are everywhere in the garden these days, but, sadly, I'm still not seeing any Monarchs.
