September was hot and dry; October is cooler and was very dry until it rained on Wednesday.
My Asters ignored the dry conditions and have been (and still are) blooming profusely.
There are still a few blooms on the Turk's Cap that the butterflies are enjoying.

The Gulf Fritillary is our most common butterfly but it is eye catching and beautiful. I keep taking photos of them no matter how many I see! Happy weekend!
