Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day, July 2022

I am in the northeast corner of Mississippi, USA zone 7b. Our forecast today is for 96F (35C).

I am starting off today with the most unusual bloom I have - an African Spiderflower aka Cat's Whiskers!

Phlox.

Hibiscus.

Butterfly Bush, Buddleia.

White Althea, Rose of Sharon.

Pink Althea, Rose of Sharon.

Crape Myrtle.

Sedum.

Cypress Vine with its interesting foliage.

Tiger Lily. Wind and rain blew them over, but they are still blooming!

Double Day Lily

Happy Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day!

"Know ye that the Lord he is God; it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful unto Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations" Psalm 100:3-5

"Cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you" 1 Peter 5:7

  4. Lovely blooms. My favorites were the tiger lilies, the white Rose of Sharon, and (of course) the crape myrtle. 96 is just a little too hot for me!

  5. The tiger lilies are gorgeous, Lea. Your garden has a tropical look this July. Does that 96 degree temperature come with high humidity?

  9. Lea, you have lots of beautiful blooms. I always love crepe myrtles, mine have just started blooming this week. The temps have been hard on the shrubs and flowers. Watering is a must and a daily chore.
