1. Foggy Morning Sunrise (Sky Watch Friday)
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, August 2, 2020 |
(My house is surrounded by trees, so I am not able to get sunrise or sunset photos from home).
2. Spider Web (The Weekend in Black and White)
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, August 2, 2020 |
But that same fog gave me a good background for this black and white photo!
3. Surprise Lilies (Floral Friday Fotos)
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, August 2, 2020 |
Surprise Lilies, Lycoris squamigera, are also called Magic Lilies and Naked Ladies.
4. Spider (Saturday's Critters)
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, August 2, 2020 |
Black and Yellow Garden Spiders, Argiope aurantia, are harmless to people and eat insects, making them beneficial to the garden.
5. Eastern Bluebird (I'd Rather B Birdin')
Prentis County, Mississippi, USA, August 3, 2020 |
I accidently scared this female Eastern Bluebird off her nest, and she watched me carefully as I walked by.
Have a blessed day!

ReplyDeleteLovely photos! We call those lilies "naked ladies."
ReplyDeleteHello Lea,
ReplyDeleteThe surprise lilies are beautiful. That is a cool looking spider. My favorite is the Bluebird, they are so cute. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Have a great day and a happy weekend!

ReplyDeletewow interesting photos. Fog can be lovely. Love the web too. We are surrounded by trees so can't see a sunset but do get a bit of a sunrise looking east. That is one huge looking spider. Like the Lilies too.

A treasure of wonderful images...all of them this time around (as always). Thanks for joining us at IRBB this week.
ReplyDeleteAll your images are stunning. We have lots of surprise lilies blooming around our neighborhood. Always makes me think of a late neighbor who referred to them as Naked Ladies. Pretty blue bird. Hope you have a wonderful new week!
ReplyDeleteLove that spider web picture - I actually prefer the webs to the web spinners if the truth be told!
ReplyDeleteHope all is well. Stewart M - Melbourne
