Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day
Northeast Mississippi, USA zone 7
We have been blessed with a mild Winter: night temperatures below freezing with pleasantly cool days, and a good mixture of sun and rain. But we don't forget that Winter sometimes gives us snow in February before we get to Spring.

Daffodils open already.. You are waaaaay ahead of me! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteYour bright yellow Daffodils are a welcomed sight! We are in the same hardiness zone, so it is interesting to see how far ahead of us you are. We won't have them for a couple of months. Happy Bloom Day!
ReplyDeleteHi Lea, your daffodils are so cheerful! I am living vicariously through you and your pretty blooms! Looking forward to daffodil blooms here in Oregon soon.
ReplyDeleteWow the daffodils are already blooming where you are? Envious of this flower series - Nada flowers in N. California yet! Thanks for visiting me:)
ReplyDeleteAlso inviting you to ALL SEASONS to link an experience of the season. The link is open Sunday though Wednesday. I think you'll like it! I'll send you later this week a link of next week's post. Have a lovely week:)
At least I saw Carolina Jessamine during a January visit to Charlottesville, VA. Otherwise, I am so starved for outdoor flowers. I can't wait for spring. After viewing your blog, I feel so much warmer. (and, I wish jessamine would grow in my zone 5b garden. Alas.)
ReplyDeleteA good showing. I like that spirea. Do you know which variety it is? I wonder if it would grow in my zone 6a garden? Thanks for joining in for bloom day!
ReplyDeleteI am not absolutely certain, but I think it is 'Ogon' It is listed for zones 4-8, so it should do well for you. As a bonus the leaves turn a golden-reddish color in the Autumn.
DeleteThanks for your visit and comment on my blog.
All I can say is 'Bring 'em on!' I am so ready for some colorful flowers.
ReplyDeleteYour Carolina jessamine is gorgeous. It's a plant I haven't had much luck with, so I'll enjoy yours!
ReplyDeleteLove that Jessamine. It seems to last a long time too. Happy GBBD.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blooms! Your plants are ahead of ours. My daffodils are just a few inches above the ground and won't be blooming for a few weeks yet.
ReplyDeleteWow beautiful blooms in your garden at this time of year! My daffodils haven't made an appearance yet.

Oh, that Jessamine is lovely! Is it fragrant, too?
ReplyDeleteThe Carolina Jessamine does have a slight fragrance, not enough to smell just walking by it, but if you get really close, yes - fragrant
DeleteI love how yellow flowers cheer people up following all the cold winter weather. Ours are just starting to grow out of the ground here.
ReplyDeleteYour 2nd daff is Campernelle I believe.
