Butterflyweed in November, November 10-11, 2013

November 1, 2013, Straight out of the camera
I was very surprised when the Butterflyweed, Asclepias tuberosa, began to bloom again.
I wonder how it will fare when our temperatures go below freezing on Tuesday night.

Have a wonderful week!

It's supposed to get below freezing here Tuesday as well with a little snow.

  9. Butterfly Weed is really a very pretty plant! I'm curious, too, about how it does after a freeze. Hopefully it's one of those that comes back as a perennial or at least makes seeds to bloom again.

  12. That is exactly what I was thinking when I saw the picture. Hubby has a list of chores to do before the BIG freeze tonight.
