Two of my favorite plants bloomed in between Bloom Days. This Tiger Lily photo is from June 20th, and...
... this Hibiscus photo is from July 3rd. It is a bushy plant about waist high.
Now on to what is blooming today...
Althea, Rose of Sharon, is a small tree, Hibiscus syriacus
Burr Rose
Crape Myrtle
Turk's Cap,
Wisteria is a very invasive vine. It has to be cut back often to keep it from spreading.
A wildflower, Common Mullein, Verbascum thapsus

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"Know ye that the Lord he is God; it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful unto Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations" Psalm 100:3-5
Beautiful blooms Lea. The Tiger Lily is such a colorful bloom as well as the Rose of Sharon and the Burr Rose. Happy Bloom Day.
ReplyDeleteGlorious blooms, Lea!

ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI love the lilies and the hibiscus too, Beautiful photos! Take care, have a wonderful week!
I love all of these bloomers, and they are common favorites in my neck of the woods, too. Happy GBBD!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are just fantastic to look at
ReplyDeleteI love Rose of Sharon - I don't have any but our neighborhood ones are blooming. Your tiger lily is beautiful, and happy you gave us a look although it is no longer blooming. Also enjoyed your crepe myrtle. As you know, I long for the day a hardy-in-New York crepe myrtle is developed.
ReplyDeleteThe diversity of colour and form in flowers is really rather remarkable.

Tiger lilies are lovely. When I bought my house there was a ditch running along the road on either side. There were tiger lilies growing in them. I miss them, but... it's nice to have street lights and a sidewalk too!
ReplyDeleteI adore your tiger lily, Lea!
