I am in the northeast corner of Mississippi, USA zone 7b
My Althea, Rose of Sharon, is just beginning to bloom.
And the Elderberries are nearing the end of their bloom time.
Burr Rose
Phlox
Begonia in a hanging basket on my front porch in early morning sunlight
A recent purchase: Balloon Flower, Platycodon grandiflorus
A wildflower: Spiderwort, Tradescantia
I bought Marigolds to be companion plants for my Tomatoes.
And, yes, my Tomatoes are blooming, too!
For a look at things to come...
...the Tiger Lilies will soon be blooming.
Happy Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day!
I am linking in today with Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day at May Dreams Gardens
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"Know ye that the Lord he is God; it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful unto Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations" Psalm 100:3-5
Beautiful blooms. Love the Rose of Sharon and the Spiderwort. My Spiderwort is done, it bloomed in May. It is going to get pretty hot here in Murray the next few days.
ReplyDeleteYour garden must be so lovely with all these blooms, Lea.
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers! Your wild Tradescantia is such an unusual light blue, never seen one like that before! I hope to see the blooms of the Tiger lilies in a posting soon.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteAll your blooms are beautiful. A lovely sight! Have a great weekend.
I so wish I could grow elderberries! I'm also waiting on my oriental lilies - their stalks have been up for a month or more without a flower to be seen.
ReplyDeleteWe are bracing for a heat wave where we live in New York. I always like seeing your blooms because some are "coming attractions" for me. No area Rose of Sharon yet and I like the lilac color of yours. I also liked your Burr rose. Marigolds are the first flower I ever tried to grow, when I was in 2nd grade. I have a soft spot in my heart for them.
ReplyDeleteI learned about something new, burr roses. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! So many highlights here. I love Tiger Lilies, and that Rose of Sharon is gorgeous! Happy Bloom Day!
ReplyDeleteTomato blossoms already! My plants just went in this week!
ReplyDeleteThe garden is truly looking so lovely
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms! That burr rose is a stunner. I'm going to have to do some research on them.
ReplyDeleteLovely blooms. The elderberries in our backyard are quite glorious this year. It is their year to shine, obviously.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blog
