Muskrat

Muskrats are native North American mammals that spend much of their time in the water. Their primary food source is aquatic plants. They were introduced to Europe in the early 1900s and are now classified as an invasive species there.

  2. I, too, have never actually seen one in the fur but I gather they are pretty ubiquitous in most parts of the country.
