Kildeer

My Corner of the World and Wild Bird Wednesday

Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, February 5, 2023
Killdeer, Charadrius vociferus, are shorebirds often seen near lakes and streams all across North America. They are close cousins to the Plover group of birds.

I hope you are having a good week!

I am linking in today with My Corner of the World and Wild Bird Wednesday

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

  6. Oh yes, they are special birds, aren't they? My parents had nesting pairs almost every spring in one of their open, gravel areas. It was fascinating to watch and hear the parents defending their territory.
