Garden Spider, August 13, 2022

Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, August 11, 2022
The pretty Black and Yellow Garden Spider, Argiope aurantia, may bite if disturbed, but it is not poisonous. Do not kill them! They help in the garden by eating the insects that attack your flowers and vegetables.

Have a wonderful weekend!

I am linking in today with Saturday's Critters

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

  2. Nice pic! We have a similar spider called Signature Spider, named after the unique crisscross patterns on its web.

  5. I don’t mind spiders in the garden. I don’t like them in the house though.

  6. I love these spiders and usually see them around this time of year, but so far I haven't encountered one this year.
