I didn't like the knobby knees and rampant growth when I cut them back. I've lost most of mine in recent years because of the draught, although I do have an old tough-as-nails heirloom that keeps keeps on going. Its blossoms are small but butterflies love it. Your buddleia is gorgeous and so is the fritillary.
