Partridge Pea, August 21, 2017

Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, August 10, 2017
Partridge Pea, Chamaecrista fasciculate, is a wildflower of the eastern United States. The bright flowers attract bees and butterflies, and the seeds are eaten by birds.

  4. A wonderful plant! It seems to appear here and there all over North America whenever I'm traveling, and it's one of those native plants that is often included in public gardens and arboretums. The flower is so pretty, and I love the foliage.
